Shortly after leaving my design apprenticeship a few years ago I was run over by a car skating. Face broken and lungs filling up with fluid, I found myself overcome with fear, not for my wellbeing but from the notion that my life might end before I could ever properly share my passion for design with others. Laying in that hospital bed in between surgeries and vanilla sky references that flew over nurses heads, Apres la Vie was born.

After leaving the hospital, my passion became that of a self appointed purpose for my second chance at life, my sole focus became getting the designs that filled my head out into the world to share with others. I was terrified of living my life simply as a means to an end, but rather wanted my work to be a meaning to live, a core tenet of Apres la Vie.

My love for clothing has always been predicated on the idea of creating garments that others could live and create memories in. Whether it's a pair of pants that fits just right, a jacket passed down from father to son, or that one shirt you refuse to throw away well past its time; I have always been captivated by the sentimental relationship between the user and their wardrobe. Here at Apres la Vie our core mission is to create your next cherished piece, made with care and intention to be worn and brought with you in all of life's moments, whether is just another day at the office or the beginning of your next big adventure.
